TMF Staff Spotlight: James Prindle, Warrior PATHH Program Director

What town do you live in?

I live in Warren, Maine

What do you do at the Foundation?

I am the Warrior PATHH (Progressive & Alternative Training for Helping Heroes) Program Director, but I have done a little bit of everything here.

Have you done similar work in the past?

No I haven’t. I worked in the grocery business before coming to the Travis Mills Foundation.

How long have you worked at the Foundation?

I interned here the summer of 2018 and was hired in 2019 as the Waterfront Coordinator.

What’s your favorite part of working at TMF?

The family atmosphere. TMF just feels like home for me. it is great to come to work and be around people with the same passion for helping others.

Do you have a favorite story you’d like to share from your time here?

There are honestly so many, from the waterfront to the ropes course and everything in between. I think most recently it would have to be bringing back some of our PATHH Students to become PATHH Guides. Having seen where they were when they attended the program and seeing the growth they have achieved is amazing. Watching them sit in front of students and share their stories of Post-Traumatic Growth is extremely rewarding, not only for myself but the rest of our team as well.

What is your favorite feature of the Retreat/Foundation?

It’s hard to pick a favorite but I think I would have to say the kitchen. Our amazing chefs and volunteers pour so much love into everything they make. It helps build that family atmosphere. I’m also a foodie so I’m a little biased!

What is a fun fact about yourself?

I can draw pretty well!
