Employee Appreciation Day

Here at the Travis Mills Foundation our employees are the heartbeat of the foundation. By working countless hours, hosting participants and events, and doing it all with a smile of their faces, they serve our nation’s heroes.

“The beautiful retreat is full of healing, laughter, and love because of the spectacular staff,” Volunteer Shirley Allen said. “From the creative and delicious food to the unique and imaginative programming to the unseen heroics behind-the-scenes in offices and on the grounds. The [Travis Mills Foundation] staff serves our nation’s heroes and their families with meticulous care.”

That staff at the Travis Mills Foundation is vital to the day-to-day operations. Staff at the Travis Mills Foundation work a variety of jobs ranging from chefs, programming, marketing and communications, to volunteer coordinator.

“My interactions are usually with the chefs, facilities guys and programming people and they are just great,” Volunteer Denise Nowinski said. “But I’d say that the organization would not run as well as it does without all of the staff’s efforts.”

Today on Employee Appreciation Day, and every day, the staff at the Travis Mills Foundation is appreciated beyond any and all words. While the staff would continue to serve recalibrated veterans and their families without any gratification, they are so incredible and deserve to be appreciated each and every day!

About the Travis Mills Foundation

The Travis Mills Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports post-911 veterans who experienced life changing injuries while in service to our country. The Travis Mills Foundation Veterans Retreat offers our nation’s recalibrated veterans and their families a week-long, barrier free, all-expenses-paid experience at its world-class retreat in the Belgrade Lakes Region of Maine. It offers various programs that help these brave men and women overcome physical and emotional obstacles, strengthen their families, and provide well-deserved rest and relaxation. The Foundation also offers the Warrior PATHH Program (Progressive & Alternative Training for Helping Heroes) for combat veterans and first responders, the nation’s first of its kind program designed to cultivate and facilitate post-traumatic growth.  Learn more >>> www.travismillsofundation.org.
