Hello from the Travis Mills Foundation Team,

As the 2021 spring and summer programs come to a close and we begin to think about the Warrior PATHH program, we can’t help but reflect on the incredible summer we’ve had. The families who joined us this year were inspiring and amazing individuals. And after being apart because of the pandemic, it made our 2021 retreats even more special. The bonds that were formed between the veteran families are unique and unbreakable.

It is hard to believe that next month will be the 20th anniversary of 9/11. On that day, the Travis Mills Foundation invites you to join us as we remember together at the Building Strength Gala. It will also mark the groundbreaking of our new Health and Wellness Center to benefit recalibrated veterans.

As our team prepares for fall, we look forward to what the rest of the year has in store. Thank you for your unwavering support.

Many of the recalibrated veterans who participate in our programs share that the reason they joined the military was because of the tragic events that took place on September 11, 2001.

The Building Strength Gala is an event of reflection, awareness, outreach, and fundraising. It’s an evening to remember the thousands of individuals who tragically perished on that day and honor the service members, first responders, and civilians who have impacted over the last 20 years as a result of 9/11. While tickets have sold out, the public is invited to participate in the event’s silent auction:

September 12, 2021, is a FREE open house where there will be tours of the Travis Mills Foundation Veterans Retreat and opportunities to learn more about our programs. The event also raises awareness for our Health and Wellness Center building.

In August, we welcomed our last group of recalibrated veteran families to the Travis Mills Foundation Veterans Retreats for summer 2021 programs. Our team is in awe of the incredible veterans, spouses, partners, and military children that participated in our program this summer.

We provide our families time to connect with one another and opportunities for them to meet other recalibrated veteran families who understand one another’s experiences. Our retreats are designed to encourage connectedness, participate in adaptive activities, and offer free time to relax and recharge.

Thank you to our veteran families for joining us, and to our staff and volunteers who have worked so hard at the retreats. A special thank you goes to our generous supporters who allow us to grow our programs each year. This summer has been so special. We are looking forward to our fall programs with Warrior PATHH and Caregivers and our families returning in the winter.

The Travis Mills Foundation supports recalibrated veterans and their families through various programs that help these heroic men and women overcome physical and emotional obstacles, strengthen their families, and provide well-deserved rest and relaxation. We would not be able to accomplish our mission without the generosity of the American people like you. Thank you for your continued support.
