GREETINGS FROM THE TRAVIS MILLS FOUNDATION TEAM!
We hope you are enjoying the summer weather so far. 2020 presented many challenges for Americans all across the country. The mental health of our veterans and their families was the top priority for the TMF staff during such a difficult year. Because our in-person retreats were put on pause for the safety of our recalibrated veteran family participants and staff, our team worked harder than ever. It was crucial that we provided outreach to serve as a reminder that we were in this together!
As restrictions are lifting, we are excited and hopeful for the future. None of our programs, outreach, and growth would be possible without the generosity of our supporters like you.
We can’t say it enough, thank you for believing in our mission.
Here’s to a great year!
Sincerely,
SSG Travis Mills & the Travis Mills Foundation Team
Reflecting Back
We provided financial aid and bonding activities for 201 families, 552 people, 144 veterans, 408 family members, and 246 kids, 20 weeks with 10 programs, and 10 MRP (Modified Recalibrate Program).
“I just want you to know this book club has been a mental savior. I have had a few too many down days during this pandemic… this has been a great little escape! Thank you for initiating this virtual mental escape.” — 2020 Family Member Participant
Looking Forward
We are excited to announce that the Travis Mills Foundation will be holding our first in-person retreat next week! We can’t wait to be together for adaptive activities, bonding experiences with other veteran families, and provide much-needed rest and relaxation after such a stressful year.
Our recalibrated veteran families are counting on us more than ever. Join us as we show our nation’s heroes how much we care. Together we are stronger.
