CPL. Tisha Knickerbocker
In 2012, Cpl. Tisha Knickerbocker received injuries from a multi-vehicle accident while on active duty. As a result of the accident, Tisha sustained a broken back and traumatic brain injury. Tisha is an avid competitor and set the Department of Defense Warrior Games record in the 50m breaststroke. Tisha and her service dog Cuse have attended the retreat twice, where they participated in a number of activities!
“I have been truly blessed to be able to attend the retreat this year. Thank you all for being so accommodating and caring. I may not come with a family but just being able to come and rest with my service dog is awesome. Our favorite activities are down at the water! One of my other favorites is seeing how everyone has overcome such different experiences. Thank you for everything that is done to put this together.” Cpl. Tisha Knickerbocker
